We are a perfect venue for any couple who wish to celebrate their special day intimately with their nearest and dearest.
We can accommodate up to 56 guests seated for their wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast and up to 80 guests standing for the evening celebration.
Our booking coordinator will work alongside you to ensure your day is everything you would hope it to be. Whilst our offering is printed below we have maximum flexibility to tailor the food and drink menus to accommodate your individual needs to suit your tastes and dietary requirements.
All Day (12 noon – 11 pm)
- Use of The Loft for your special day
- 3 course wedding breakfast (please see menu below – one option from each course for each guest, children will be served a smaller portion)
- One glass of sparkling wine per adult guest (option to have this on arrival or with the toast)
- Evening buffet with 5 items per person (please see our cold buffet menu)
- Additional evening guests can be added for £12 per person

- Wedding favours – custom labelled miniature gins or bottled cask ales are available to add on from our brewery and distillery – £5 per person

 We also offer in – house table decorations which consist of a hessian table runner, green foliage and candles. We offer this at £8 per table.

The Finer Details
There is a deposit fee of £250 for all private events, payable upfront in order to secure the booking. Preferred dates are held only once the deposit is paid.
If you are booking for an all day event the deposit will be £500.
If you are wanting to hold your civil ceremony at The Loft you will need to contact Barnsley Registry office to book your date and time and pay all fees for their services directly to them. Please call 01226 773555 for more information.

Our team work Wednesday – Sunday between the hours of 2pm and 9.30pm and will try to accommodate any requests to the best of their ability.
We recommend an inital visit so you can discuss all your ideas, themes, and the finer details once you have confirmed the booking.
Prior to your booking you will need to confirm your final requirements. This will include confirming all timings of the day, final numbers for both daytime and evening celebrations along with your choices of food and any drink requirements.
The final balance due for food and pre ordered drinks and extras.
A final payment will be required 14 days prior to your wedding.

Terms & Conditions
Our Standard Deposits and Cancellation Policy
– There is a non-refundable room hire charge of £250 for all private events, payable upfront in order to secure the booking. Please note, after initial booking enquiry if the deposit is not paid within 7 days the booking will not be finalised.
– With the exception of certain special occasions such as Christmas or organised events where a ticket price may apply. In these cases, payment for the ticket may be requested in full prior to the event.
– We reserve the right to deduct any damages caused to the room from any deposit received from the booker(s).
– Room hire will be waived/refunded on private events where the minimum food/drink spend has been reached. If the final bill is less than our stated minimum, we reserve the right to retain some of the room hire fee of up to £250.
– Any booking made after April 2023 are subject to a 5% increase
– Any wedding booking made will be required to pay the full amount at least 8 weeks prior to the booking date.
Our Cancellation Policy
– The continued viability of our business relies on reservations being honoured by our customers, and adequate notice being given of any changes or cancellations. 1. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for any booking that is cancelled, or if numbers are reduced without prior notice.
– For all bookings, you must notify us of a full cancellation 30 days prior to the date of your reservation. For all bookings, you must notify us to any changes in the number of guests at least 7 days prior to the date of your reservation.
– The Loft reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to £250 for any bookings changed or cancelled with less notice than the above given time limits for cancellations or changes.
– The cancellation fee reflects the cost incurred by The Loft in terms of staffing, food, preparation, and any lost revenue as a result of turning away other potential bookings.
– We will notify you if any cancellation fee is applied.
– Any bookings which fail to turn up without any prior notice, will forfeit their £250 room hire fee.
– Where possible, our team will actively manage event bookings by checking attendance with the main guests/contact we have in our booking diary.
– The cancellation fee for a wedding will be charged at 50% of the total invoiced amount.
